Hello internet! Here I am with my annual blog post going over my favorite songs from the year. 2021 was extremely solid for music, and making this list proved very difficult! The Shortlist: Best Songs Of 2020

Wow, we somehow survived 2020. Let's all pat ourselves on the back for that. Reflecting on this year, I'd say it was so-so for music. Although there were certainly several artists who released some smashing successes, I can't say I was overwhelmed by many of the new releases in 2020. Everything was pretty average, nothing too terrible but not a ton rising to the top either. Therefore, I found it pretty easy to wrap up my year-end song list in a concise top ten (instead of my top fifteen like last year). >Also, funny side note... I just realized my top two songs are off of albums with eerily similar album covers. Just the singer's face all beaten up. I guess that sums up this year pretty fittingly.

The Shortlist: Best Songs Of 2019

Well my friends, it's been yet another year. Time has sure flown! I decided to do things just a bit differently for my 2019 favorites list. I am choosing to forego my favorite books and movies this year and am sticking to songs alone. I am also upping it from my top ten favorite songs to my top fifteen. What can I say, 2019 was a fantastic year for music! This list took me an embarrassing amount of time to finally piece together, but I am happy with my top fifteen for this year. The Shortlist: Best Of 2018

Well, the time has finally come for me to compile my annual year-end list of my favorite books, movies and songs from the past twelve months. This is something that I've been doing for fun since 2012 and have continued to do every year since.
